Once again the AGM approaches – on Thursday 22nd April – when we will be reporting on this year’s activities and electing next year’s committee. Committee membership is open to any Notts Wildlife Trust member who lives in Rushcliffe.
So what do we do? We run the Spring Fair, Go Wild in the Park in summer, a winter talks programme, an all year round out & about programme, promote conservation and the Trust at summer fetes, run a web site and produce a newsletter. But we can always use fresh ideas, and we desperately need representation from the eastern side of Rushcliffe (Bingham, Radcliffe-on-Trent and all points east). If you are interested please get in touch with Gordon Dyne: phone 0115 984 3934, or email gordon (dot) dyne (at) mypostoffice (dot) co (dot) uk; or print, complete and return our volunteering form from the link below.

The real attraction of the AGM will be a talk by our Chief Executive, John Everitt, on Living Landscapes. These are the key concept in modern nature conservation, aiming to think big and link habitats up to reduce habitat fragmentation. It is the strategy that underpinned the Idle Valley project in Nottinghamshire, the Great Fen project near Peterborough and countless other projects up and down the UK.
